The best brunch deal in Hoboken is at the Brass Rail

One of the best brunches in town with their $19, two course pre fix brunch option. For $30 you can add a cocktail of your choice between a mimosa, bloody mary, one of their featured beers, or sangria. If boozy brunch is what you’re in the mood for, the Brass Rail is your destination of choice.

The cozy decor is old-world chic — dark woods, antique photos — but the food and drink are modern with a long craft beer and cocktail list and high-end dining.

This is the most important step. As I hinted at before, drinking is the only way to cure a hangover. Luckily in this lovely town of Hoboken we have the best drinking options around…maybe the all you can drink (while eating) brunch at The Brass Rail is more your style.

Having eaten here for brunch and dinner before, I must say the quality of food that Brass Rail serves is fresh (with lots of seasonal ingredients) — and quite elegant. The cuisine is creatively presented when served, but it doesn’t just look good — it also tastes great. They have an extensive wine list and cocktail bar which can be easily paired with any dish. But don’t take MY word for it…

“It’s been 10 years since the last time I ate at the Brass Rail, and I am happy to report that the food is just as delicious as I remembered. The place is also surprisingly kid friendly – when my daughter decided it was time to play tag on the leather seating, nobody blinked an eye. I will definitely be coming back for some more of that delicious short rib sandwich. I might even stray from the specials since I hear great things about the lobster rolls.”

“This Hoboken bar and restaurant offers fabulous food whether you are looking for a quick bite off their bar menu or something from their extensive dinner menu. Everything is prepared fresh and exquisitely presented. There are weekly specials in the downstairs bar room, which include beer and wine specials. In addition to the first floor dining room and long bar, there is the elegant upstairs dining room, which is also available for parties. And did I mention cocktails? The Rail has a diverse cocktail list, which includes classics like Sangria, Mojitos, and eclectic blends like the Pimm’s Cup (changes seasonally) and the Cup of Joe. Whatever you are in the mood for, chances are, the Rail has it! The combination of great food and drinks and spectacular service make this place a stand out in Hoboken. One staff member who aims to make your night great is the charming and often smiling Liz.”

“As far as the taste testing consensus goes, everyone enjoyed their food. The fun part about the Brass Rail is that it is prixe fixe for your entree $17, but if you add $10 to your tab, it is all you can drink. Totally worth it if you’re trying to get after it on a Saturday or Sunday Funday. The food presentation is decent, and the ambiance is friendly with a mixed crowd. Families and young professionals, I’d say. I would definitely recommend a trip here if you have a little extra dough to splurge, but it will be worth your trip!”  Click here for full review

In the end, I’ll award The Brass Rail eight out of ten frosty mugs, as a nice place to grab a cocktail or a glass of wine after work, or on a date. If you’re looking for a wild and crazy party, you probably won’t find it here. And if you are looking for a cheap divey bar, well, yeah, no dice. But if you want to unwind with a drink and ditch any pretense at the door, then The Brass Rail might be the spot. Check it out, and watch out for the ghost bride, you hear? Chef Frank Falivene of MoonShine Supper Club in Millburn”The best burger that I have had recently was at The Brass Rail in Hoboken, which is owned by the same partners who own MoonShine. The combination of charred juicy meat, gooey melted mozzarella, and the crisp saltiness of the pancetta was a perfect combination in every bite. During weekly planning meetings for MoonShine at The Rail, I was always certain to order that burger!” Click here for full review
